This Edwardian influenced medieval gown was designed to reflect Edmond Leighton’s romanticisation of a royal lady knighting her brave hero in his 1901 painting of “The Accolade.” With flowing sleeves and a draping, voluminous skirt, the whimsical nature of this gown transports oneself to a time of dragons, duels, and fair maidens and heroic knights.
